About the travelers

Paul Laux

Paul Laux, a native of Strongsville, Ohio, is a freelance photographer and a communication theorist currently studying for a masters at Cleveland State University.  He first fell in love with traveling when he was taken on long road trips with his family all over the east coast for his brothers hockey tournaments.  Since that moment, he has loved every minute of the adventure and has currently been to over 10 states and 3 countries.  With the help of Katie and this blog, he hopes to show the entire world what the world itself actually looks like.  From a travelers point of view that is.  Fun fact:  Paul once hugged a homeless man in exchange for a newspaper.

Katie Hendershot

Katie Hendershot, of Alliance, Ohio, is in her junior year at Ohio University studying journalism. Traveling has always been a passion of Katie’s, along with soccer and baseball. While family trips were few and far between when she was a kid, recently she has been traveling more and hopes to document those travels. New York City is a favorite of Katie’s, as well as the coast of Maine. Since meeting Paul, many travel plans have been decided so there will be plenty of posts about all of their adventures. Fun Fact: Katie tripped over her shoelaces as a kid and got a concussion. She is that kid your parents warned you about.
